The Sierra Club is one of the most longstanding and well-respected environmental organizations in the world. They have been around for over a hundred years and they show no signs of disappearing any time soon. Their membership is 700,000 strong, and if their website is any indication, they have no intention of stopping anytime soon. This site, at SierraClub.org, is one of the best you’ll find. It is extremely well-designed, with a lovely aesthetic, beautiful images, and volumes of information regarding environmental topics. You can learn so much about the world around you by spending just a few minutes poking around on this site. There are several methods of searching for information, each of which is tailored to the customer’s needs. You may search by issue, choosing from such environmental causes as clean air, clean water, human rights, et al. You can also search locally…there are links to Sierra Club offices in every state, with information specific to that state. This site is a direct connection to some of the many resources that the Sierra Club has at its disposal. There is a Club store, with various outdoorsy items available, such as apparel, packs, and watches. You can also sign up for membership in the Sierra Club onsite, but you don’t have to sign up to take advantage of the site’s many features. Whatever your beliefs, SierraClub.org has got some information that may make you think, and it might even change your mind. This is a wonderful website from a top-notch organization.
