Most aspects of going to college are wonderful. Those four (or five or six) years of your life leave you with memories you’ll carry with you for a life time. However, there are memories that will not be so happy. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been out of school; there are certain things that just about everyone remembers…the dining hall food was awful and the trips to the bookstore were excruciating. Now, with the advent of internet retailing, some companies have joined in the textbook melee. Now, some of these outfits are pretty low-rent; unreliable fly-by-nighters. However, when you get a major company with a longtime devotion to books involved, why, then you’re going to see how it ought to be done. One such company is Barnes and Noble. Their college textbook division has put together a top-notch site to help students fill their vast and varied textual needs. As with all of B&N’s public faces, this website is top-notch. Navigation is a breeze, and the site is very easy on the eyes as well. Now, Barnes and Noble have always been about books, but when they get specific, watch out! They have assembled a large inventory of widely-used and useful texts, as well as a number of other interesting items. They have a wide array of posters and print with which to decorate dorm rooms, as well as a link to the SparksNotes study guides. They also offer DVDs, eBooks, and a Student Advantage plan. Barnes and Noble has always done great work in the world of book retail, and this site is no different.
